We inspect the system first, show you what is actually in it, and clean the accessible ductwork with truck-mounted equipment. If your ducts do not need cleaning, we will tell you that instead.

The short answer
What happens when we clean your air ducts
A technician inspects the accessible supply ducts, return pathways, registers and equipment connections, then uses truck-mounted negative air and agitation tools to loosen accumulated dust and debris and draw it out of the system. The collection unit stays outside the occupied space wherever the property allows.
Scope depends on the number of systems, how many supplies and returns there are, how accessible the ductwork is, and what the inspection finds. That is why the inspection comes first and the quote comes after.
Inspection of the accessible duct system before any work begins
Agitation and negative-air extraction of accessible supply ducts
Return-air pathways and accessible return drops
Supply and return registers and grilles
The accessible connections at the furnace or air handler
A walkthrough of what was found and what was removed
Not included
Sanitising, fogging, disinfecting or chemical treatment of any kind
Mould testing, remediation or removal
Furnace repair, coil cleaning or refrigerant work
Sealing or repairing damaged ductwork, which is a separate service
Ductwork that cannot be reached without cutting into the building
Asbestos-containing materials, which need a licensed abatement contractor
How a visit runs
Five simple steps, and you approve the price first
Inspect
We open accessible points and look inside with a camera, so you see the actual condition rather than a sales pitch.
Agree the scope
You get a plain description of the work and the price before anything is brought inside.
Set up
Floor protection goes down and the collection unit is staged outside where the property allows.
Clean
Agitation tools loosen material while negative air pulls it out through the trunk lines.
Walk it back
We show you what came out and flag anything that belongs with an HVAC contractor instead.

What we actually pull out of duct systems
The same duct run, before and after. Results vary with how much has accumulated.Material drawn out of one system and collected at the access point. The negative-air line couples to the trunk so debris travels out, not into the room.Camera inspection is how the scope gets decided before any quote. The hose is routed to the equipment so the system is cleaned as one run.You see the same live view we do, before and after the work.

Honest advice
The right fix for what you are noticing
Duct cleaning removes material that has accumulated inside the accessible duct system. That is a real and worthwhile thing. It is not a fix for every symptom people associate with their air, and we would rather tell you that before you book than after.
Good fit: visible debris, post-remodel dust, pest activity, a system never cleaned
Not a fix: duct leakage, undersized returns or poor system design
Not a fix: humidity, moisture or a mould problem, which needs the source addressed
Not a fix: filtration, which is a filter and equipment question
We do not claim health outcomes; the evidence for that is genuinely mixed

Find out what your ducts actually need
The inspection is free, and it is genuinely fine for the answer to be that your system does not need cleaning.
A home with two furnaces is close to two jobs. Zoned systems and basement apartments often mean separate equipment.
02
Supplies and returns
Every register and return drop is a point that has to be reached, so the count matters more than square footage.
03
Access
Finished basements, tight crawlspaces, ceiling runs and gated or hillside properties all add time.
04
Condition found
A system with heavy accumulation or construction debris takes longer than one that is lightly dusty.
05
Duct material and layout
Long trunk lines, flexible duct and remodelled routing change how the work is staged.
06
Additional services
Dryer vent cleaning is a separate run with its own equipment and is quoted separately.

Criteria
Likely starting point
Why
Dust settling quickly after cleaning
Air duct cleaning
Material in the accessible duct system is being redistributed each time the system runs.
Debris visible at registers
Air duct cleaning
Accumulation at the visible points usually means more further in.
Recent remodel or new construction
Air duct cleaning
Drywall and flooring debris enters the system when equipment runs during a build.
Rooms that never reach temperature
Air duct inspection
This points at leakage, design or equipment rather than dirt.
Clothes taking two cycles to dry
Dryer vent cleaning
The dryer vent is a separate run from the HVAC ductwork.
Duct damage, gaps or old rusted runs
Duct sealing
Cleaning cannot restore a duct that has lost its integrity.
Why homeowners across Utah call us
Air ducts collect dust and debris over the years a system runs. In Northern Utah that is often ordinary household dust, pet hair, and material left behind after remodelling, along with whatever gets drawn in through returns that were never sealed properly.
Cleaning removes what has accumulated in the accessible parts of that system. What it cannot do is compensate for a duct system that leaks, a filter that is not doing its job, or a moisture problem that keeps coming back. Our technicians will tell you which of those you are looking at, even when the answer means we are not the contractor you need.
What you get from us specifically
A free inspection before any quote, with a camera where access allows.
A written scope so you know what is included before the equipment comes in.
Truck-mounted collection, so the debris and most of the noise stay outside.
A walkthrough at the end showing what came out of your system.
A straight answer when cleaning is not what your property needs.
How often it is worth repeating
There is no interval that applies to every property, and any company quoting you a fixed schedule before seeing your system is guessing. It is more useful to look at the system periodically and clean when there is a documented reason: visible accumulation, a remodel that put debris into the ductwork, pest activity, or a noticeable change in how the system runs.
Common questions
Air duct cleaning questions
How do I know whether my ducts need cleaning?
Good reasons to have a look include visible debris at registers, material you can see inside accessible ductwork, dust that returns quickly after cleaning, a remodel that ran the system through construction, pest activity, or a system that has never been inspected. Dust on a vent cover by itself does not prove the whole system needs work, which is why we inspect before quoting.
How long does it take?
Most single-system homes are a matter of hours rather than a full day. Timing depends on the number of systems, how many supplies and returns there are, how accessible the ductwork is, and the condition found during the inspection. The inspection gives you a realistic window before you schedule.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of systems, the count of supplies and returns, access, and the condition found. We do not publish a flat price because a two-system home with a finished basement is not the same job as a compact single-system rambler. The inspection is free and produces a specific number for your property.
Will duct cleaning improve my health or my allergies?
We do not make that claim. Duct cleaning removes accumulated dust and debris from the accessible duct system, which is measurable and worth doing when there is material to remove. Research on whether it improves health outcomes is mixed, and the honest position is that we clean ducts rather than treat symptoms. If air quality is your concern, filtration, humidity and the building envelope usually matter more.
Do you sanitise or fog the ducts?
No. We do not apply sanitisers, disinfectants, deodorisers or chemical treatments to duct systems. Removing the material is the service. Be cautious of any company that leads with chemical treatment.
What if you find mould?
We will show you what we found and tell you plainly that it needs assessment by someone qualified to do that. We do not test for mould, identify it, or remediate it, and cleaning does not address whatever moisture allowed it to grow.
Is dryer vent cleaning included?
No. The dryer vent is a separate run with its own access points and equipment, so it is quoted separately. Plenty of customers schedule both in one visit, which is usually easier than two appointments.
What should I do to prepare?
Clear access to the furnace or air handler and to the registers where you can. Let us know about pets, parking constraints, gated access, basement apartments and any recent remodelling. Nothing else is needed; we bring floor protection.
How do I tell a good duct cleaner from a bad one?
Ask what is actually included and get it in writing. Be wary of very low advertised prices that expand once someone is at your property, of companies that diagnose mould without testing, and of anyone selling chemical treatment as standard. A company willing to tell you that you do not need the work is usually a good sign.
